“So what is your son doing nowadays ?” “Well, he is doing ENGINEERING” “Oh My God! He is doing Engineering!!!”. That’s it! As soon as your ‘proud’ parent declares you as an Engineer, you are gone baby! The person asking the question, will gaze you like he has just seen the 8th Wonder of the world. People have a big and I mean a really big misconception that every Engineer is an Einstein and thereby he can ‘repair everything!. People think that we engineers can solve any damn problem in this world, but one thing that this world is unaware of, that laying down with this beauty called ‘Engineering’has a lot of side-effects. Fourteen disabled students were among the 199,448 children who secured above 90 percent in the Class 12 CBSE exams. According to an official release on Friday, a total of 1,304 students with disability - 249 blind, 41 deaf, 672 physically handicapped, 46 spastic children and 296 with dyslexia - applied for the Class 12 exams this year and 1,273 appeared finally.

Waste water management has been a big issue across the globe and more so in India due to the acute shortage in several places. A 23-year-old student of IIT Kharagpur has not only found a solution to this problem but has also demonstrated how to produce electricity from it.
Meet Manoj Mandelia, a student of integrated MTech at IIT Kharagpur, who has developed this product which could well be the solution that the world has been waiting for to protect earth’s resources.The product uses the concept of microbial fuel cell (MFC is a bio-electrochemical system that drives a current by mimicking bacterial interactions found in nature), which can not only treat waste water but also produce electricity in the process.

A new security advisory from Microsoft warns about a risk involving any version of Internet Explorer on Windows 2000 and Windows XP that can allow a malicious Web ware to infiltrate your PC. The F1 key is normally designated to bring up help in Windows programs, including the operating system. As per the advisory, the flaw is in the way VBScript processes help files in Internet Explorer.
